I have now achieved my life long dream to be a published poet. My first collection focuses on bringing voice to marginalized black stories. This collection is not simply a measure of my creative heart but also a measure of my creative ancestry! I worked to cultivate poems that really spoke to the importance of black history which is often edited through a Eurocentric lens or overlooked completely.
