Purpose

To get students comfortable with the process of simply writing and to emphasize that to be a successful writer students should get into the habit of writing freely, regularly, and to understand that not every first draft is perfect.

Overview

This workshop will require students to spend time writing through 3 different writing prompts.

1. Write a twenty-six line abecedarian (one to three words for each line). This form requires using each letter of the alphabet as the first letter in each line starting at ‘A’ and finishing with ‘Z’.
